Many families pair a few days at the Orlando parks with the cruise, and boarding-day logistics are what they ask about most. This guide answers those questions.

- Standard tolls and airport parking included
- Rides both ways: to the port and back
Which cruises sail from Port Canaveral
Disney runs several ships in Florida and moves them between ports by season.
Disney ships at Port Canaveral
The ships that usually sail from the port include the Disney Magic, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, and itineraries change from year to year. Confirm your ship and sailing date in your booking or on the Disney Cruise Line website.
The Disney terminal
Disney Cruise Line usually uses Terminal 8 at Port Canaveral, and on days with two Disney ships some sail from Terminal 10. Check your boarding documents and follow the signs with your ship's name. The port lists its terminals at portcanaveral.com/Cruise.
Other cruise lines
Port Canaveral also hosts Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and others, each at its own terminal. If your cruise is not Disney, see our cruise transfers page.
Which one to pick
There is no best cruise for everyone. Length, the children's ages, the itinerary and the budget change the answer. To decide, compare itineraries on the Disney website or with your travel agent.
Ships and terminals change by season. Always confirm with your boarding documents.

You show your documents, get your boarding photo and step onto the ship. There can be a wait depending on your arrival time.
Flat rates to and from Port Canaveral
These are the listed routes that touch Port Canaveral, including Disney World and the airport. Rates are per vehicle, not per person.
If you start from an Orlando or Kissimmee hotel that is not in the table, we quote the flat rate before you book. Message us on WhatsApp.
Getting there from the airport, Disney World or your hotel
The practical choice is to pick your starting point based on where you spend the night before.
From MCO, the drive to the port takes 45 minutes to an hour. If you land on cruise day, leave a wide margin for bags, because a delayed flight does not make the ship wait. See our cruise transfers and the Orlando airport ground transportation guide.
From Disney World, the route has a listed rate in the table above. If you stay at a Disney resort, tell us the exact name so the chauffeur knows where to pick you up. For a hotel outside Disney, message us and we quote it.
Renting a car is another option, but you have to return it and get back to Orlando. If it would sit parked for days, it may not be worth it. See rental car or private car.
The night before and after your cruise
Sleeping in Orlando or near the port before boarding lowers the risk.
If your flight lands the day before, stay a night in Orlando, in Cocoa Beach or near the port. You reach the ship rested and without depending on a flight schedule.
On the way back, disembarkation is in the morning. If your return flight is early, you may need another night in Orlando or a later flight. You can also plan a shopping or park stop before the airport; for several stops, see the hourly chauffeur service.
Luggage and large families
A family cruise usually means big suitcases, so vehicle space decides.
The Full-Size Black SUV carries up to 6 people and 6 bags. With kids, tell us how many strollers and car seats you bring so we plan the space.

Tell us when you book if you need infant seats or boosters.

- No charge, on every ride
- Strollers and large items can reduce capacity, so mention them when you book

Included in the rate
