How far is Miami from Orlando? About 235 miles by road, which works out to three and a half to four and a half hours depending on how you go and how heavy the traffic is.
If you are traveling light, alone or as a couple, the Brightline train is usually the easiest way to go. If you have kids, big suitcases or a hotel far from Orlando airport, a private car saves you the extra transfers at the end of a long day.
Flying looks faster on paper. Once you add the ride to the airport, check-in, security and baggage claim, you rarely save real time on a trip this short, and you still need a ride from Orlando airport to your hotel.
We run private transfers from Miami to Orlando (and back) in the Full-Size Black SUV. There is no list price for this route because it depends on the exact pickup point, the time and the size of your group, so we quote a flat rate before you book, on WhatsApp or by phone, in English or Spanish.
We do not list third-party prices because they change by date and season. This is what to look at for each option.
| Brightline train | Bus (Greyhound, FlixBus) | Rental car | Private SUV with chauffeur | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Approximate time | About three and a half hours between stations | Longer, with stops along the way | Three and a half to four and a half hours of driving, depending on traffic | Direct, the same driving time with no unnecessary stops |

| What is missing when you arrive | An Uber, shuttle or private car to Disney, Universal or Kissimmee | Almost always another ride to the hotel | Hotel parking and tolls | Nothing. You step out at the door |
| Bags and kids | You carry bags at the station and again when you leave | Luggage limits per passenger | Whatever fits in the car | Up to 6 bags in the Full-Size Black SUV |

The fast train from Miami to Orlando is called Brightline, and the Orlando station is inside the international airport (MCO), away from the parks.
Brightline leaves from MiamiCentral station in downtown Miami and stops in Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach before it reaches Orlando. If you are flying into Fort Lauderdale, you need a ride to the Fort Lauderdale station first. From Miami International, you need a ride to MiamiCentral.
The full trip usually takes about three and a half hours. Check the day's schedule and fares on the official Brightline website, or compare on Omio and Rome2Rio, since prices depend on the date and the class you choose.
The part that catches people off guard is that the Orlando station is inside the airport, several minutes by car from Disney, Universal and Kissimmee. After the train you still have one more leg with your bags, and that is where an Uber, a shuttle or a private SUV comes in. If you arrive at night or with sleepy kids, that last leg matters more than it looks. You can book the airport pickup with us on the MCO to Disney or MCO to Universal route, and our Orlando airport ground transportation guide explains how to get out of the terminal.
Several companies run the route, including Greyhound and FlixBus. A bus ticket is often cheaper per person than the train, though prices change by date, and the trip takes longer because of the stops. The bus terminal is rarely next to your hotel.
If you are traveling with big bags or kids, add the cost of an Uber or taxi from the Orlando terminal to your hotel before you decide. For a family of four or more, the savings shrink fast.
Many travelers land at MIA or FLL for the airfare and then find out Orlando is almost four hours away.
If your flight lands at Miami International (MIA) or Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood (FLL), we can pick you up at the terminal and drive you straight to your hotel in Orlando, Kissimmee or Winter Garden. The same goes if you start from a hotel in Brickell, Miami Beach or Las Olas.
To give you an exact flat rate we need the terminal, the landing time, the number of passengers and the number of bags. How soon you can leave the airport depends on immigration and baggage claim, so send us your flight number. If the flight slips, message us on WhatsApp and we adjust the pickup time.
Traveling with little ones? Child seats and boosters are free when you book at least 24 hours ahead. On same-day bookings we cannot guarantee them.
A quick guide to decide without losing time.
The train is a good option if your hotel or your next ride in Orlando is already sorted out from the airport.
A Full-Size Black SUV carries up to 6 passengers and 6 bags. You avoid splitting the group between two Ubers.
With a chauffeur already confirmed, you do not depend on an Uber being available at that hour, or on carrying bags through a station.
Renting makes sense if you will drive every day. Check parking and tolls at your hotel first. Here is a comparison: rental car or private car.
We can do the transfer from Miami and then pick you up at MCO for the return. Ask for both rates in the same message.
If your case is not here, message us and we sort it out.
Tell us the date, where you start (MIA, FLL or hotel), where you are going in Orlando, how many people and how many bags.
We quote the flat rate before you book. It is set per vehicle, not per person.
The Full-Size Black SUV for up to 6 and 6.
We need 24 hours to organize the trip. Same-day requests we try, but availability is not guaranteed.
Your chauffeur takes you straight to the hotel. Service in English and Spanish by phone, text and WhatsApp.

Chevrolet Suburban or comparable. Up to 6 guests and 6 standard-size suitcases. Best for families, larger parties and travelers with additional luggage.
Car seats, strollers and oversized luggage can reduce capacity. Not sure which fits? Message us before you book.
To go back from Orlando to Miami (or Fort Lauderdale) we can also pick you up at your hotel and take you to the airport or your coastal hotel.
It is the solution most requested by people with an early flight out of MIA or a cruise leaving from PortMiami. Send us the flight time or the cruise check-in time and we work out the pickup with a margin.
If your cruise leaves from Port Canaveral, see the page on the transfer to Port Canaveral. If your trip includes several days in Orlando, you can also hire an hourly chauffeur to move between parks without renting a car.
See the rates for our transfers within Orlando, which do have list prices.

It depends on your group. Solo or as a couple with little luggage, the train works well. As a family, with bags or on a late flight, a private SUV avoids transfers. Renting a car makes sense if you will drive every day around Florida.
You can take Brightline from MCO airport, a bus, rent a car or book a private chauffeur at your hotel. With us, message us on WhatsApp with the date and place and we give you the flat rate before you book.
